Join us outdoors (weather-permitting) for First Saturdays family programs at Philipse Manor Hall! At 12:00 PM we feature a special story time with Yonkers Public Library librarians, who read two history-focused picture books with a seasonal theme. This month's books are TBA.
Then, at 12:30 PM, join us for historical games! Learn how people of the past entertained themselves tabletop games like mancala, shut the box, captain's mistress, nine man's morris, skittles, and more, plus hand-eye coordination games like quoits, cup and ball, jacob's ladder, and outdoor-only games like graces, hoop and stick, battledore and shuttlecock, and more.
Both programs are free and open to the public, no registration required. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Limited free parking is available on site. A public parking garage is located right next door and metered street parking is also available. Philipse Manor Hall also has multiple Bee Line bus stops right outside, and is located just two blocks from the Yonkers train station. Find parking and directions.
