Why was Philipse Manor Hall built where it was? Why did the Munsee have a village in downtown Yonkers for thousands of years? How did the Yonkers waterfront change over time? Learn the answers to these questions and more as you explore the daylighted Saw Mill River and Yonkers’ Hudson River waterfront with a knowledgeable guide and historic images.

The walking tour takes a circular route of approximately one mile from Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site (located at 29 Warburton Ave., Yonkers, NY) down to the Yonkers Waterfront and back again. Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Tour departs promptly at 10:30 a.m., museum opens at 10:00 a.m. Museum accessible via Hudson line train, car, or bus. You can find directions, transportation, and parking information here.

Tickets:
